About This Home

Most houses do not include a room built for making things, and this one was planned around one. The art studio sits near the center of the house rather than tucked off a back hallway, with a 30-foot skylight overhead.

The outdoor living space got the same consideration. Post and beam construction carries the vaulted roof, capped in galvanized metal, which keeps the span clear and lets the space work as a real room instead of a covered slab.

“Carlos was most attentive, creative with details and solutions, and very resourceful in solving the many specialized custom situations on our home.”

“A few years ago my wife and I made the decision to build our new home on a most intriguing and challenging property in Orange County. I inquired about possible contractors among my colleagues in the construction industry and received strong recommendations about Posada. After interviews, preliminary pricing and an unavoidable delay, we contracted with Carlos Posada to build our house.

Now that the house is completed and I look back on the process, I can honestly say that it has been a very rewarding experience. I have found all subcontractors on this project to exceed my expectations for craftsmanship and general quality of the workers themselves. I did not expect, in this construction market, to find this quality work product without having to redo much of the work.

Carlos was most attentive, creative with details and solutions, and very resourceful in solving the many specialized custom situations on our home. He has been an excellent communicator throughout the process, always being available when problems and questions arose.

Posada builds a quality residence at a fair price with good documentation of monthly draws and detailed costs. I recommend him to anyone who is looking for a quality product with minimum apprehension during the construction process.”
