Tuscany Preserve

Tuscan architecture translates well to Central Florida, which is part of why it keeps showing up here. The materials the style depends on, stucco and stone and clay tile and heavy timber, handle heat and humidity better than most alternatives, and the deep overhangs the style calls for do real work through a Florida summer.

This house carries the vocabulary through to the details, including a wine cellar built into the plan rather than carved out of a closet after the fact. The kitchen and the main living areas follow the same logic and are finished in materials that suit the architecture instead of decorating around it.
